New Recipes

I'm taking these with us to Oregon for a family camping trip, but of course I had to taste test them first! They are sooo good! They might not survive the trip tomorrow :)

(Be generous with that Toffee and Almond Symphony Bar....oh so good)

Spicy Chicken and Pepper Jack Pizza
(Be generous with the cheese, comments I had from this is "more cheese and maybe some garlic", overall it was delicious!)

Prayer Request

Dad went to the doctor monday after having many tests done, and he was told he is at high risk for a heart attack right now. He went to a larger hospital today and had a EKG done. We will not receive the results back from that test until Tuesday. We would appreciate the prayers for healing and the doctors to have wisdom in determining exactly where the issue is coming from. He has been taking it easy and many times we have to FORCE him to not do things :). Will keep you updated....thanks for the prayers! We are trusting in the Lord that He has it all under control.

"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him." ~2 Samuel 22:31

We have ordered several things from her, even special ordered something, and they have turned out wonderfully! So, all this to say that if you havn't stopped by her blog yet, you need to! There is a link on the sidebar that says "the shop", you can click on that and it will take you to the things she makes. Have fun! Here is the link.....

June Recap: Part 6

Ok Ok, people, this is the END of June Recap posts....Whew!!!

June Recap: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5

The last weekend of June we had a Prophecy Conference in Twisp. Pastor Sargent from BBC in Oak Harbor (our sending/home church) came and preached for the Conference. Also, many members from the church came to be a help and encouragement, it was SUCH a blessing, not only to have their help in outreach and things related to the ministry that weekend, but also that sweet, sweet time of fellowship was such a blessing for both of our families, I know. Everyone was willing to pitch in and help what needed to be done (setting up/taking down), it was a blessing and encouragement to us! We had a couple of first time visitors and people who have promised to return, prayerfully we will see souls saved and people added to the church as a result!

The Prophecy Banner was great!

June Recap: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3

We went to Black Pine Lake on Father's Day, it was beautiful!!

A little squished...hehe

Oh, the advantages of being a "guest" :o)

Of course we had to go to our favorite ice cream stop!

June Recap: Part 3

Here are the links for June Recap: Part 1 and Part 2 if you have missed them......

After our trip to Oak Harbor we had a couple visitors, one was my Aunt Deb and her kids (Selma and James) came over for a week long visit. My cousins were only here for a couple days then went to go and spend time with their dad, who lives close by. It was a great time spend with them and enjoyed there company for a while! Oh and half cupcakes are the best :)

Another visitor we had was Steve, a PiT (Preacher in Training) from a church in TX. He was visiting here as a missions trip and was kept very busy doing things ministry related. He was here for two weeks and we all had such a great time with him! Kali, Josh, Steve and I played lots of games and much laughter was shared in those times! We have been calling Josh, Steve Jr., because he bought cowboys boots and have been wearing them. It was so nice to have another young person around to have fun with and be able to encourage each other in the Lord.  Overall, we had a fantastic time with him and were sad to see him go, he was a great blessing and huge help in the ministry over here. His humming and singing around the house is greatly missed by our two families  :)

June Recap: Part 2

Since the month of June will be in several different posts, I will give you links to the other June catch up posts in the beginning of each one, that way you don't miss a part :)

Ok here is June Recap: Part 1

After spending a great week with our Grandma, we went on over to Oak Harbor for 1) Bible Institute Graduation and 2) To drop Grandma back home. I was a short visit (too short) but we had lots of fun and made the most of it! Sunday night we went out after church with a bunch of singles and enjoyed spending time with everyone again! The trip was a great time of sweet, sweet fellowship that was much needed.

The graduation of Bro. Majors and Carolyn  went wonderfully, everything went smoothly and they both did great on their speeches. Another added bonus is that it was Alyssa's send off service to go to Thailand for the summer! It was a huge blessing to get to see her before she left for a couple months! ANOTHER added bonus is that we were there for Nicki's birthday and got to go out to lunch with her! Can you guess where we went?! That's right people, the Whidbey Coffee Cafe :)

THE BEST coffee....e.v.e.r!
