Interview Update

The interview went really well this morning! God just gave me the words to say and I'm pretty happy about all the answers I was able to give....except for one, but what can you do?! They seemed happy about it, but who knows! She is going to get back with me to let me know yes or no, so I guess only time will tell. It's all in God's hands now, so all I can do is wait. Thanks so much for all the prayers and I will keep you posted!

Two Red Heads & One Blonde

Today the Major ladies came over to stay with us while Chris went to the jail this morning to start sitting in with the man who does the Bible Studies. He will be turning over that ministry to us soon. When he got there he was told that it was canceled this morning and was going to be at 6 o'clock tonight! So instead of driving all the way back to there house and coming again later (they are 45 min. away), they just hung out with us today! When they got here I had not even taken a shower yet, so while they were here I hopped in the shower and got ready. My mom, Chris and Selena went to Walmart and left the girls here with us. So when I came back out Olivia said she wanted a snack. I proceded to head into the kitchen when all of a sudden a little voice behind me says, "Mmmmm, you smell clean!" LOL I'm glad I smell clean! I guess she thought I just smelt nice and fresh! So, of course at that point I couldn't help but scoop her up and love on her a bit! How can you resist such a sweet and cute moment?!

A little side story: At our new house we have a garbage disposal, I have never had one before thus providing the issue of not exactly sure what we can and can't put down it! So yesterday I put stuff down it that wasn't suppose to go down and providing a lovely clog....(I say lovely VERY sarcastically here...) After many attempts to get it to drain again, it wouldn't, so we couldn't do the dishes and had to call the plumber this morning. Praise the Lord, the plumber was able to come out today and fixed it in no time at all!

Anyways, so as a result of that there were quite a few pots and pans, things that couldn't go in the dishwasher, stacking up. So today I was about to do the dishes and of course the girls wanted to help! I let them help me and they actually did pretty good! Later, Lilly and I made some cupcakes! She cracked the eggs and put them in and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised again! She cracked them and did it SO well! No eggs shells in these cupcakes!

How many does it take to do the dishes?

Three I guess....2 red heads and a blonde :o) I love these girls....

P.S. I have an interview with a Credit Union at 9 am tomorrow morning!! I would really appreciate your prayers for this! It sounds like a great opportunity!

Summer Fun!

This past week my mom, Kali and I went to Oregon to visit family. It was alot of fun! We were able to go to a couple rivers and even got to float down one with my counsins! It was a fun trip and its always nice to see family and get to catch up with them! Having a big extended family is challenging sometimes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I have several pics I want to share, some of them are from the trip to Oregon and some are just recent pics from this summer! Enjoy!

Enjoying the cool water, in the hot weather in Oregon!

Selma (cousin) and her mustache! hehe

Grandkids and Great-grandkids with Grandpa (not all of the grandkids were able to make it, so we have some missing)

Violet eating some cake, plus saving some for later :)

Boot Camp Progress...

Rather than boring you with all the stuff we have been doing and embarassing ourselves over it, I will just say that its been going good! Just completed Day 3 of working out (trying to form nice abs... ;o)  hehe I have one word for you that Kali and I would both agree on thats appropriate for how we feel right now: SORE!

Which we know soreness means that at least something is working!!

Moving and Boot Camp :o)

So I'm sure you all are wondering how the move went. It went really well! Ok, now that we have covered that moving on.....lol....just kidding! We started out on Tuesday the 29th of June, had a eight car caravan (consisting of 2 u-haul trucks, 2 trucks {one with a trailer hitched to the back}, 2 SUV's, 1 suburban, and 1 mini-van)! Take into consideration also that there was the Majors family moving with us! So after 4 hours, 2 stops and 4 cds later we arrived! I drove my car by myself, so it was a pretty boring ride, the cd's helped though! We stayed at the Majors rental that night then cruised on over to our new house about 45 minutes away Wednesday morning. Its so nice! Almost twice the size of our other one, if you can believe it! I will post pictures later when we get more settled in and things up on the walls! To make a long story short, we have been unpacking, cleaning, painting, and organizing for the past 2 weeks. Long process but I think we finally see the end in sight! Next week we are going to Oregon to visit family, so we are trying to get all the necessary things done before that. Plus, when we get back Kali and I are going to start looking for jobs, so pray God will lead us to the perfect ones! Here are some pics of the move.....

Good bye to our Island.......

We went to a demolition derby on Saturday, July 3rd. That was lots of fun, I didn't really know what to expect, not being a country girl and all. They had some races and then finally the demolition derby when they all crashed into each other and the last one standing wins! It was pretty cool because one of the cars that kept beating everyone was a woman! I told my family that will be me in 5 years, giving me time to get used to the country life......haha Giddy up cowgirls! Ok, that just sounded stupid and ridiculous, trying too hard....give me a couple years.......

                                                Let the racing begin!!!

Starting to get cold....and obtaining more mosquito bites...grrr

Ok, so your probably wondering what the boot camp thing is all about. Today we were talking to my brother Josh (miss him lots!!) and he was talking about how he had starting working out, thus starting to get "more toned and forming abs..." hehe So I decided to make a contest out of it. Kali, Josh, and I are going to have a contest to see who can get the best abs! Of course, I have been informed that men just naturally get better abs than women, which should be the case! Yet, I think it will still be fun to do that together, a "friendly" little contest. (Josh and I have already been texting each other talking smack about how we are going to win! haha) So, this brings me to the boot camp part, I am naturally just more athletic than Kali is. Not that I am constantly doing athletics or anything, I just thrive on being active, love it! So, I told Kali (and she consented) that I will be her personal trainer over the contest period, I told her it will be like boot camp! lol I'm sure it won't be even close to anything like boot camp, but I will try to make it challenging for her and myself! By the way, I am not in ANY way, shape, or form saying that Kali needs a good workout and lose some weight, just think it will be fun! I will probably check back with you later on how things are going.......

Ever since we moved here, when we are meeting people at stores and things, lots of people are asking Kali and I where we are going to go to school. Then, we just look at each other and laugh, we have been out of school for a while! Kali is 23 and I am 19.....do we really look that young?! One older man thought I was 13! 13!!!! Come on, I can't look THAT young! Anyways, then they procede to tell us that its a blessing that we look younger and that we will appreciate when we are older....yeah yeah yeah....but its horrible right now!

Closet Stats

My room is finally painted (after 3 coats of paint, arg!). So, yesterday I was unpacking boxes and getting settled in my new room and I found that I didn't have enough hangers to hang everything up in my new (bigger!) closet. I had mom and dad pick up some more so I could finish up the big box of clothes that needed to be hung up still, I told them that 1 billion hangers would probably be enough! Needless to say, they brought back 60, for Kali and I to share, I was skeptical that it would be enough for the both of us. Yet, I decided to hang things up and see what happened. I went through 41 hangers,  plus I wanted some extras for new clothes I might come across, so this adds up to 5 packages of 10 count hangers! :o) As I was organizing, I got to looking at it and counting.....wow...I guess I didn't realize how many clothes I have! For those of you who really don't care and think I'm stupid, just skip this post, but if you find this at least a tiny bit interesting keep reading! This brings me to the stats, here they are......

Shirts (including sweaters, t-shirts, button-ups...) - 55

Dresses - 3

Jackets & Coats - 14

Skirts - 41

Shoes (including slippers, flip-flops, heels, boots, ect....) - 25

I officially have no right to declare that I have nothing to wear! hehe

Do you remember me?!?!

Hello hello? Is anyone there?! It's been a while since I last posted, have I lost all my readers? Well, if you remember me, I am here to post about my trip to Washington D.C.!

LTIA was great!!! (It was June 19th through the 26th.)  I had so much fun meeting new people, hearing some great teaching and getting to see in person all those awesome monuments that I had only seen in pictures!

Instead of going through each day and what I did that day, I will just give you a brief overview of what happened and what I learned.

We were able to get some great teaching on what a world view was. We went over some things you would talk to atheists about and how to steer them towards the fact that there is a God and eventually leading up to the Gospel!  I was really cool to learn more about that as well as how to get politically involved in our communities and our nation. We were able to see a lot of speakers ranging from Congressmen to the Ambassador of Macedonia!! Each of them had great things to say and were very helpful! I learned so many great things from the Conference! I want to become more politically active in my "new" community, by going to the city council meetings!  It is also really neat to see how much one person can make a difference! Another thing I want to do is to get more informed about who we are voting for and things that are going on around our communities and our nation. An informed person can be more help than in uninformed person! :o)

I had a great time meeting some Christian young people and gaining some new friends! We had a great time of fellowship and we were all really able to become close throughout the week! Seeing the monuments was a great experience as well! We were able to take a night tour on Sunday night, that was awesome!  Of course, on Friday night (our last night) we had to make a trip to Barnes and Noble! ;o) That was lots of fun, sitting around the fountain outside talking and singing songs from "Cinderella"....haha...good memories!

All in all, it was a GREAT trip and I learned so much from it! I am soooo glad I went and I know that I mentioned that I was nervous about all the things I had to do for it, but it really wasn't bad at all!

In the middle of our journey over there, sporting our glasses :o)
