Fun Visit

Memorial Day weekend Alyssa and Nicki headed over the mountains to come and visit us! It was soo much fun! Most of the time was spent playing games and just enjoying each others fellowship. It was so nice to have the fellowship of these precious ladies again. They are great friends and am SO thankful for them! Much laughter and many sore arms (alyssa was very abusive towards me because I was winning games....lol) but it was great to catch up and have some much needed girl time! One of the games we played was "sorry card revenge" which I know I have talked about on here before. It was great and I have to add here that Nicki and I played on a team together and were undefeated :) Eagerly looking forward to next time.......love and miss you both already!!

Oh, its ON!!!!

Juarez Outreach

Josh left on Saturday to go and spread the Gospel to the people of Juarez, Mexico, along with a bunch of other men from like-minded churches. You can google Juarez and find all sorts of stuff all about what goes on in that city. Its a dangerous place but they need the Gospel just as much as people here do. You can check out more about the outreach here: Juarez Outreach. I would be lying if I told you I am not even a little scared for the safety of the men going there. Yet, I know that God will protect them because He has called these men to go. My mom received a phone call this morning from Josh, he said he was doing great so far. He said all of the men are in unison, which is SO important, especially under these circumstances. The group of men are staying in El Paso, TX, then travelling to Juarez every day up until Friday. I ask that you join your hearts with ours and the MANY people who are praying for these men this week, please pray. Lives to be changed, souls to come to know Christ, safety for the men involved, and for the men sharing the Gospel that it would be a life changing experience for them. I know most of the people reading my blog are Baptists of like-minded faith, I'm sure God will impress on your hearts just exactly what to pray for. Josh has already said since he has been there that this is what he has needed, a blessing already! Thank you SO much for the prayers!

I will leave you with this picture taken before Josh left......

Gauge has been sleeping in my room and will be until Josh comes back home on Saturday. Josh has commissioned me to take care of Gauge while he is gone, for some odd reason I don't think he is going to be as spoiled with me as with Josh :) I do have to add that he is "up and down", "up and down", "whine", "up and down", "up and down", "whine", at night.....ahhh.....will I get any sleep?!!?!! He does settle down after a while, but this morning I had a lovely (little after) 5 am wake up call.....maybe the Lord is starting to prepare me for children, in the far future of course :)

Weekend Fun

This past Saturday we went to the play "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", done locally. It was a birthday present from my dad to my mom. Us, ladies of the house, have been wanting to see it ever since we found out they were going to be doing it this summer! I was quite impressed with the size of the theatre they had to do the play in, it was pretty large compared to the one back in O.H. that we went to. Which was a surprise to us because the town we are living in now is MUCH smaller than O.H. All in all, it was alot of fun to go see it and they all did an excellent job!! (My dad even went with us, which we were all surprised he was willing to go, he even treated us to DQ afterwards! What a great dad/husband!) After seeing "Cinderella" in O.H. last June and now this play, it has really gotten us on the band wagon for seeing plays! They are SO much fun! If you haven't been to one, you should look around your neighbouring towns and find a good one, its sooo worth it!

Bless your beautiful hide, wherever you may be, we ain't met yet but I'ma willing to bet, your the gal guy for me..... :o)

Happy Birthday Mom!!

I could not even ask for a better mom. She is such good example of a Godly woman and helper in the home. She has always been there for me to lean on and talk to, or just laugh with. Many times, we will just sit around talking and enjoying each others company! We are really close and I not only count her as my favorite mom :), but my friend. There are not even words to describe what an influence and blessing my mom has been in my life. Mom, what would I do without you? I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

vs. 28 & 29 "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all."
