The Classics

So, for the past week or so I have been hooked on watching all the great classic movies. What, you may ask are those classic movies that I love? Some people love the classic westerns, some the classic black and white, but I love the Jane Austin movies! Pride and Predujice, Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma are all favorites of mine! I do have the select "versions" that I prefer, but watch any one that you can find, (as long as its not the cheezy ones!) and hopefully you would enjoy them, if you have not already watched them!

We have recently found some other movies that my family (I'm speaking of the women in my family...hehe) loves! So, just for the fun of it, I will spit out a few of the titles of the movies and I will HIGHLY encourage you to give them a shot! Hey, what have to got to lose?!

The titles include: Cranford (which they have come out with "Return of Cranford" online at pbs, so if you like it so much, you can watch the second one!), Under the Greenwood Tree, North and South, and Wives and Daughters.

Whoops!

The other day I was home from work sick and was catching up on the laundry. (Lots and lots of loads to do!)  My brother had cleaned his room and whenever he does that there are lots of clothes and towels! So, I put in some of his nice clothes with some others of the rest of the family. As I was sorting the clothes, to put in the dryer and which to hang and let air dry, I put all of his clothes in the dryer thinking that he didnt have anything that needed to air dry. Yet, for Christmas he got a 100% wool argyle sweater from my sister, and that went in the dryer as well. Needless to say, I took it out after it was done and it really looked like it had gotten much smaller! Yikes! He tried it on later and it went all the way up to his belly button! LOL! Well, I guess I will be buying him a new one!

Lesson 1: Wool shrinks!

(Here is a picture of us in our "argyle" sweaters on Christmas! We had to get a picture of us matching, of course!)

Frustrating......

Today I was able to get off of work about a half an hour early, at 5 o'clock, due to low child numbers. So, I was very happy, considering I needed to make dinner tonight, then at seven we have a Ladies Bible Fellowship, so that way I didnt have to be so rushed when I got home. As I was walking out to my car I was searching in my purse for my keys. (Now, if any of you have seen my purse, it is pretty big, so my keys get "lost" a lot of times and I just have to keep digging!) This time I really could not find them, so I looked in my car and there they were, resting so happily and peacefully on the passenger seat, grrrr!! Thankfully I have a spare key, but it is at my house, so I had to call home and my all gracious brother was willing to come down and give me the key! Thanks bro!

If you didnt already know this, I have had issues with locking my keys in my car. It has happened probably about 5 times I would guess, in the 2 years I have been driving. Yikes! I know, I know, its so awful.....I just get so distracted and my mind totally forgets about the keys when I leave my vehicle. (Now, I dont want to hear any blonde jokes....!) Im thinking about investing in one of these, I would definitely never leave this in my car. What do you think?

New Favorite!

I have recently been introduced (thanks to my sister) to the wonderful things of Burts Bees! Although, normally I am not an "all natural" type of person, mainly because of the heavy price it has to come with it! I absolutely love this cleanser! You can find it really anywhere and it works really well for me! It has a great almost tingling sensation after you rinse it off and that makes you feel like it is actually doing its job! (Which is always a plus!) So, i definitely encourage you all to give it a try if your bored with your other cleanser! It is only $8 on their website and Im sure its probably about the same at walmart.

Busy Busy Busy....

This past week has been so busy with work and Bible Institute. I love going to Institute and learning more in depth about the Word of God, history behind the Bible and our Baptist heritage. Yet, within the busy work week and class at night it is hard to find a time for a little R & R. So, my week has been a busy one, (which I hope you will forgive me of my silence), and now i will really try to keep you all more up to date on things that are going on!

Early on in this week a lady who has been battling cancer for about 10 years now, has passed away and gone on to the presence of our Lord! What a blessing, but also a time of grief for those of us who are left behind. On Saturday we had a memorial service for her, and celebrating the life that she lived for Christ!

I can only pray that my life will be a Godly impact on others and a the testimony to others that a Daughter of the King should be!
