Sunday: Part 2

Sunday was a great day, not only fun but so exciting at church! To read the first part of how our day was, hop on over to Kali's Blog first, but ya'll come back now ya hear, to read the rest! (I know, put it in the record book that I said ya'll, haha)

Ok, ya back?!

While we were on our way home (Kali and I with the Majors), someone mentioned Sonic and that sparked an idea. Mainly, I think it was Selena saying she was thirsty and of course we had to submit to a pregnant woman's needs right?! An idea soon turned into, "Let's go to Wenatchee!" (Wenatchee is about 2 hours away, the the closest Sonic around here.) Totally random and spontanteous, it was great! So we drove on past our turn off to go home and headed for Wenatchee after the baptism. It was not without the girls having to take their naps though, they sat in the back and snoozed for a little while.

The coats over their heads served two purposes, 1) To keep the sun out of their eyes thus making it darker and 2) So they wouldn't get distracted by us talking and messing around. Apparently they served their purpose well!

We did some shopping and had a great time! Kali and I were looking for some snow boots and found some at Fred Meyers!! On sale for 50% OFF!! Whoop whoop!

We out to dinner at China Buffet, hmm....how do I explain this place? We walked in and there was LOUD Spanish music playing for a party that was there. While you are trying to enjoy your Chinese food (I say trying because the food really wasn't very good) you have live Spanish music playing. We all were just looking at each other and laughing at it all. It was crazy! After we left there, we went to the mall. We went to a couple stores in the mall and realized everything was closing down so we left. Then, we headed on over to Fred Meyer. Selena loves Fred Meyer so we figured we would be in there a while. Side note: Chris has problems with his ankle and its hard for him to walk long periods of time without it throbbing in the process, thus producing not a very great shopping buddy :o) In order to have a pleasant shopping experience, he grabbed on of these puppies.....

LOL....we were laughing for a while about this one! I was teasing him that if we needed to find them, we could just listen for the motor and easily track him down! It was so funny, at one point Kali and I were in the shoe section (looking at the before mentioned boots!) and here comes Selena with her cart and Chris trailing behind her in the scooter! It was so funny!

On our way out of town we made the needed stop to Sonic and got our drinks! Delish! It took a long time for everyone to decide what they wanted, at Sonic, there are so many delicious options! Hm....do I want cherry limeade, strawberry limeade, blue coconut, watermelon....ect....the possibilities are endless!

About a 1/2 hour out of town the car in front of us all of a sudden went to the side of the road. Chris (who was driving) wasn't sure what was going on but realized that there was a car accident ahead. There was glass in the road so we were not about to drive over the glass, we then went on over to the side of the road as well. At this point no police or anything were there, it must have just happened. In only a minute or so, several fire trucks, ambulances and police officers arrived at the scene. They were surrounding the accident so they could get the people out of the cars. We saw the jaws of life being used so it must have been pretty bad. One car went over the middle line and the car going the opposite direction got it on the front of the passenger's side. We saw at least 2 people on stretchers put into the ambulances. We said a quick word of prayer for the people involved and were watching intently for an hour. Yup, we were stuck there for an hour before the police were able to clear the way.

There was a police car that had his lights on that was in front of us. I'm telling you, they were SO blinding!! We thought we might need medical assistant for the seizures we might have! lol....we contemplated (not seriously of course) having Chris ask the police officer to turn out the lights because it was SO blinding!!

An hour later we were on the road again and so thankful that we spent that extra time deciding what to get at Sonic :o)

All in all, it was a fantastic day, both in the Lord's house AND in Wenatchee! Can you tell we are spontaneous people over here?! Loving every minute of it.........
